12th November 2009 – Insurance Age Broker Expo Show in CoventryAndrew Briant, Managing Director and Jennie Olivier, Operations Manager, running the Compass stand at Insurance Age’s Broker Expo Show at the Ricoh Stadium in Coventry. Andrew Briant said "The show was a great success with a large number of brokers attending. There was a lot of discussion on how they could enhance their product offering to their customer base. Many brokers were very interested in what we had to say with special interest being shown in our locum protection products and our new internal travel offering.
October 2009 - Compass Approved as a Lloyd’s CoverholderCompass is delighted to announce that we have been approved as a Lloyd’s Coverholder with effect from the 6th October 2009 working with Jubilee Managing Agency Ltd to develop a range of Life and personal accident and business travel products. The Lloyd’s market has the capacity to accept insurance premiums of over £14 billion and underwrites business in over 200 countries and territories around the world. Lloyd's currently enjoys an A rating from A.M. Best and A+ ratings from Fitch Ratings and Standard & Poor's.
October 2009 - Red Letter Day ExperienceJames York of The Wonderful Web was delighted with his Red Letter Days scheme reward from Compass. He selected flying in a wind tunnel as his reward for all the hard work he has put in with Compass on their travel and PPI schemes.
12th September 2009 - Compass supports Children’s Hospice South West.‘Compass was delighted to help support the Lloyd & Whyte Ltd's team of 'Whyte Lightning. With our help Lloyd & Whyte raised £1,700 to take part in the Corporate Challenge in support of children's hospice South West. The action packed day included team challenges of orienteering, mountain biking, kayaking and mental agility tasks. Tired, but very happy Lloyd & Whyte completed the day 8th out of 13 teams and are looking forward to next years event already.'
Monday 29th September 2008 - Compass move to new officeAndrew Briant, Managing Director, stated: We are delighted to announce the successful move to our new state-of-the-art offices in the insurance heart of the City of London. With greater office space we are able to expand our operations including a new enhanced customer service desk and call centre.
1st June 2008 - Race for LifeCompass Underwriting, is very pleased to have supported Race for Life in their continuing endeavours to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. A group of Compass employees took part in the 2008 Race for Life event on the 1st June in the City of London, which had over 7,500 participants. PDF Downloads:
16th/17th May 2007 - Mortgage Expo Show in ManchesterJames Glover, Underwriter and Karen Thomson, Agency Manager, running the Compass stand at the Mortgage Business show at G-Mex in Manchester. James Glover reported "The show was a great success with many intermediaries discussing how they can move away from being tied to just one product provider, such as Paymentshield, and instead offer a true range of independent products. There was also a lot of discussion on our internet trading platform as well as many intermediaries having fun playing our Wii games".
